I’m Deanna Armenti, The Girl with the Movie Camera.

I'm a director/writer who is passionate and experienced in cinematography and production design. As a director, I strive to tell relatable and diverse stories that uncover candid truths to the audience. I love directing both narratives and documentaries, with an enthusiasm for period pieces and coming of age films.

 

My films immerse viewers in the world of the story through curated colour palettes, carefully composed shots, and thoughtfully planned mise-en-scene. My vision is to create films that reflect my distinctive perspective while speaking with genuine openness.
